Deputy PM: Metals makers prepare retaliation against US duties

MOSCOW, Apr 6 (PRIME) -- Russian metals producers are preparing proposals to retaliate against U.S. imports duties, Deputy Prime Minister Arkady Dvorkovich told reporters on Friday.

“Companies are preparing their proposals, we will discuss them. Initially, we wanted to hold a meeting in Krasnoyarsk but we have just decided to postpone it for several days in order to prepare better. We are waiting for proposals by companies,” Dvorkovich said.

In March, the U.S. imposed a 25% duty on steel and a 10% duty on aluminum imported from all over the world. Introduction of duties on imports from Argentina, Australia, Brazil, Canada, Mexico, South Korea, and the E.U. was delayed until May 1.
